As it happened

Written for Velvet Verbosity 100words writing challenge. The word prompt for this week was “faded“.

In absolute darkness, he wept. Fortune had brought him in a small white room, and left him clueless of his whereabouts. Unlike peculiar smell of the hospital, his memories never faded, but simply disappeared.
He wept till he dozed off. Open eyed like a fish. Magically a car, packed with a lady and two kids, was pushed into his memory. At the back, the kids were fighting. At the front, the lady was shouting. Suddenly, the road transformed to a bridge and then to water! A lot of it!
First was fear. Then came scream that gradually faded to painful silence.
